Britbet To Launch Pool Betting Across Nineteen UK Racecourses

Britbet today announces a change to the provision of pool betting on a selection of British racecourses. From 1 November 2025, britbet will host and operate britbet branded betting pools on 19 of its partner racecourses, including all sixteen of those owned by Arena Racing Company (“ARC”) as well as Hexham, Newton Abbot and Ripon.

These britbet pools will be powered by betting software built by i-Neda Limited, which has provided the on-course pool betting software to britbet since its launch in 2018.

Britbet pools will be available on-course whilst ARC will manage off-course connections with global partners and customers. Access to core bet types is expected to be available on the UK Tote website and app, ensuring that pools on horseracing taking place at all British racecourses are available via that platform.

The britbet team will continue to work closely with UK Tote to ensure a smooth transition at these racecourses as well as the continuation of excellent customer service, both on-course and to off-course customers.

This includes international customers who access the pools in conjunction with the relevant media rights holders. It is anticipated that the core product offering at all britbet branded racecourses will mirror that at other racecourses, save for the brand change. Over time, the change in pools will enable differentiation in the customer offering at britbet courses.

As with all racecourses in the britbet partnership, profits from all betting activity through the britbet pools will be returned to the racecourse where the bets were placed.

Earlier this year racecourses in the britbet partnership agreed to extend their on-course pool betting rights with britbet for a further period up to October 2030. This means that britbet has the exclusive rights to provide on-course pool betting services for another five years.

At the same time, britbet extended its partnership with UK Tote Group to pool liquidity from racecourses into Tote pools from November 2025 until the end of October 2030. The remaining 37 racecourses within the britbet partnership will continue to operate pool betting under the Tote brand, so will see no changes to the pool betting operation on their races.

Since its launch in 2018, britbet has increased on-course pool betting turnover at its courses to over £73.6m in 2024, a 26% increase to that achieved in 2018. Britbet has also returned over £25m in partnership drawings to our racecourses.

Nigel Roddis, Britbet: “Britbet has been operating betting pools on a number of greyhound tracks since 2022 taking bets on-course as well as via off-course channels, so we already have experience of operating pools end-to-end. Branching out into horseracing is a positive step and we are excited about the possibility it presents as we continue in our efforts to deliver the best customer experience for the benefit of our racecourse partners. We are owned by the racecourses and work with them to provide a range of services. We are delighted to work with ARC, whilst also continuing the excellent partnership we have with the UK Tote and the delivery of racegoers liquidity to their pools from the majority of racecourses.”

Brendan Parnell, ARC: “We are delighted to announce this partnership with britbet to operate pool betting across our venues and partner racecourses. We look forward to working with the britbet team to deliver the highest levels of service and introduce some exciting new bet types for our customers to enjoy in the Superfecta and Pick 4.  We look forward to bringing global liquidity into these britbet pools.”

Martin Pickering, i-Neda Ltd: “We’re excited to expand our services in supporting and powering Britbet’s new pool platform. Our software has been built for performance, adaptability and scale—giving Britbet and its racecourse partners the tools to innovate, differentiate and grow their pool betting products over time.”
