ARC is delighted to confirm that the landmark £1,000,000 Bonus Scheme is back for winter 2025 and 2026 with £150,000 in increased prize money available! There will be over £1,000,000 to be won throughout the season at Lingfield Park, Newcastle, Southwell and Wolverhampton Racecourses, up to Easter 2026.

From 21 October 2025 to Good Friday 3 April 2026, over £1,000,000 will once again be available to owners, trainers, jockeys and racing staff connected with the most consistent performers at ARC’s four all-weather racecourses, with new prizes to be won in the third season of this competition.

2025/26 UPDATES

Following on from feedback from participants, we are delighted to confirm further prizes available in 2025/26, along with a change to the points system for the Horse of the Month and Horse of the Year competitions.

The Horse of the Month competition will, for the first time, pay the first ten places in January, February and March/April. The top three horses will continue to receive, £40,000, £20,000 and £10,000 respectively whilst those in 4th - 10th will each receive a prize of £4,500, and £500 to the associated Racing Staff of each horse.

The Horse of the Year competition will now pay prizes down to the top 30 horses across the year. Additional cash prizes will be available as per the breakdown below, with an extra £50,000 paid out between these places.

To ensure that horses are rewarded for their consistent performance across ARC All-Weather racecourses in this period the points system has also been updated, with points now available down to 8th place.

Every horse running on an ARC all-weather racecourse during this period will receive points for finishing in the top eight.

  • 1st - 25 points
  • 2nd - 18 points
  • 3rd - 15 points
  • 4th - 12 points
  • 5th - 10 points
  • 6th - 8 points
  • 7th - 6 points
  • 8th - 4 points

HORSE OF THE MONTH

Each month during the season, the horse with the most points will win the Horse of the Month bonus, along with the second and third placed horses.

In October & November and December's Horse of The Month competitions, a total pot of £35,000 will be available to win. January's Horse of The Month competition will join February and March with £70,000 available. 

Prizes won in each of the five Horse of The Month competition will be allocated 87.5% to the owner of the horse, and 12.5% to the trainer.

An additional bonus prize will go to the Racing Staff associated with the first, second and third placed horses in each of the five Horse of The Month competitions.

At the end of the season, the horse with the most points overall will win a bonus of £100,000, with further bonus prizes down to 30th overall place. 

The bonus will be allocated 87.5% to the owner of the horse, and 12.5% to the trainer.

Horses will still accrue points for the Horse of the Year competition on a maximum of fifteen runs across the season, with points allocated to the first three runs in any given monthly period, as set out below.

RACECOURSE JOCKEY BONUSES

At the end of the season, the winning most Jockey and Apprentice Jockey at each of Lingfield Park, Newcastle, Southwell and Wolverhampton Racecourses will receive a prize of £7,000 and £3,000 respectively.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Points will be accrued by horses running in flat races staged on an all-weather surface at Lingfield Park, Newcastle, Southwell and Wolverhampton Racecourses run between 21 October 2025 and Good Friday 3 April 2026, inclusive.
  • The Horse of the Year competition will be judged on points accrued during a maximum of fifteen runs during the qualifying period, with points allocated to the first three runs during each monthly period.
  • The five Horse of the Month competitions will take place for the periods as follows, with all dates inclusive: October & November (21 October 2025 to 30 November 2025), December (1 December 2025 to 31 December 2025), January (1 January 2026 to 31 January 2026), February (1 February 2026 to 28 February 2026) and March & April (1 March 2026 to 3 April 2026).
  • The Horse of the Month competitions will be judged on points accrued in the first three runs by any horse within each monthly period (as set out above). Any subsequent runs during any such monthly period will not be allocated any points towards either the Horse of the Month or Horse of the Year competitions.
  • Ownership of any horse competing in either the Horse of the Month, or Horse of the Year competition will be considered to be the Owner registered with BHA on the final day of any such qualifying period (i.e the last day of each Horse of the Month period, or Good Friday 3 April 2026 for the Horse of the Year competition).
  • Live data relating to points accrued by racehorses and jockeys will be available to view on www.arenaracingcompany.co.uk from the launch of the competition on Tuesday 21 October 2025.
  • The final standings in each category will be based on count-back and with the rules as follows:
    1. No. of wins in the qualifying period
    2. No. of 2nd’s in the qualifying period
    3. No. of 3rd’s in the qualifying period
    4. No. of 4th’s in the qualifying period
    5. No. of 5th’s in the qualifying period
    6. No. of 6th’s in the qualifying period
    7. No. of 7th’s in the qualifying period
    8. No. of 8th’s in the qualifying period
  • If the standings are still tied after count-back the prizes will be added together and split equally between all those involved in the tied result.
