Arena Racing Company ("ARC") is pleased to confirm the appointment of Ian Smyth as Head of Greyhound Operations.
Ian spent over 25 years in senior operational roles at Ladbrokes, latterly as Head of Greyhound Stadia, which included Romford, Crayford, Hove and Monmore. Ian's role continued at Entain on the creation of Premier Greyhound Racing ("PGR"), which is operated as a joint venture with ARC.
ARC greyhound stadia include Central Park, Dunstall Park, Newcastle, Nottingham and Sunderland. Ian will oversee all elements of racing operations, as well as relations with partner tracks Kinsley, Sheffield, Towcester and Yarmouth. He will work closely with the central ARC team including Dave Baldwin, Alex McTaggart and Stadia Management teams.
ARC Director of Media Technology and Production, Mark Kingston, said "Ian has vast experience in operating greyhound stadia as well as a full understanding of the value of the sport to betting operators and more generally. We look forward to him joining later this year and further developing the greyhound racing at our venues."
