Following a suggestion by an employee, The Silk Series was created in 2017.  Aiming to address the lack of female jockeys in racing, The Silk Series is a race series specifically for female jockeys which has returned for it's second year, bigger and better.

The Silk Series 2018

After a successful launch year, this innovative race series returns with an impressive prize pot of £150,000 and even more races. Silk Series races will continue to be featured races on Ladies Day, with the champion being crowned on Ladies’ Day at the St Leger Festival at Doncaster in front of a crowd of 15,000 racegoers, winning The Tufnell Trophy.
