Live Music After Racing: The Leggomen
Stay on after the final race for live music in the marquee!
When the racing wraps up on 28th December, the day is far from over. Head to the marquee for an hour of live music from The Leggomen, who will be bringing the party.
Expect big, guitar-driven indie rock anthems in the style of Kings of Leon, plus folk-inspired pop and rock with a Mumford & Sons and George Ezra feel. They’ll also be working through a set of party covers, singalong favourites and energetic mashups, with 90s and 2000s crowd-pleasers like Mr Brightside, Teenage Dirtbag and Sex on Fire.
The Unmissable Coral Welsh Grand National
First run in 1949, the Welsh Grand National has grown into one of the most historic and prestigious races in the sport. It has produced unforgettable champions over the decades, with many winners going on to glory in the Aintree Grand National and Cheltenham Festival. Legendary names such as Burrough Hill Lad, Bonanza Boy, Silver Birch and Synchronised have all etched their names into Chepstow’s history on this famous day.
On the track, the feature race – a test of stamina and courage over Chepstow’s winter turf – is the centrepiece of a superb card of jump racing. The atmosphere is electric as the runners thunder down the home straight, cheered on by thousands of passionate racegoers.
Off the track, this is the ultimate festive day out.
