ARC today announces the promotion of Mark Spincer, currently Managing Director at Doncaster Racecourse to Assistant Operations Director. Mark has taken on the newly created position of Assistant Operations Director which he will do alongside his Managing Director role at Doncaster. The principal responsibilities will include developing and managing major non-racing events and the food and beverage operation within ARC racecourses. Since the creation of ARC all catering operations have been taken in house and represent a significant part of the business in their own right.

Mark’s experience in the hospitality and leisure industry spans over 25 years, during which time he has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience, notably during a 15 year spell with Whitbread with responsibility over 18 Pub restaurants and Premier Inn Hotels. More recently he enjoyed 5 years at Center Parcs as Food and Beverage Concept Manager where he oversaw over 50 catering outlets in each village ranging from fast food to fine dining.

Since joining Doncaster Racecourse in June 2008, Mark has made a significant impact in his time at Town Moor, not only expanding the non-raceday and additional entertainment events but building a very successful and productive team around him.

Mark commented, “I am delighted to be taking on the additional role and responsibility. I am very fortunate to have such a strong team at Doncaster which have all played a huge part in moving the business forward in the last two years. Racing is also a big passion of mine and I’m very proud to be part of the Ladbrokes St Leger, and our race meetings at Doncaster throughout the year.”
